ABOUT THE CD: Craig Hella Johnson has been in music virtually all of his life. As a choral director, he works with some of the finest vocal groups in the world. His own group, the award-winning Conspirare, performs all over the world, and their most recent recordings have received Grammy nominations. It's also left him with little time to pursue anything else, until now.

Thorns on the Rose is Craig's opportunity to take a different path. A great singer and musician in his own right, Craig took the opportunity to explore and interpret some of his favorite songs as well as recording a few originals, too.

Produced and recorded in Austin by Michael Hynes, at Hideout Studios in Austin, TX, this CD features some of Austin's finest musicians from all walks of life.
